Cracker Barrel Unveils New Logo in Modern Makeover
Cracker Barrel is stepping into a new era. On August 19, the country-themed restaurant chain revealed its first logo redesign in 48 years—and this time, the iconic barrel is gone.

The new text-only logo keeps the brand’s signature gold and brown tones but swaps the classic illustration of a man by a barrel for a modernized typeface. Cracker Barrel says the design “roots itself more closely to the iconic barrel shape and word mark that started it all.”
A Return to the Past, With a Modern Twist
Cracker Barrel began in 1969 with a simple text-only logo before adopting the barrel-and-man design in 1977. The new look, part of the brand’s “All the More” campaign, is meant to refresh the chain’s image while still celebrating its heritage.
The updated visual identity also features a new color palette inspired by “farm fresh scrambled eggs and buttermilk biscuits.” To highlight the rebrand, country music star Jordan Davis appears in a new commercial.
Fans Push Back Against Changes
Not everyone is on board with the makeover. Since 2024, Cracker Barrel has been remodeling its restaurants, replacing the dark, antique Southern-style interiors with a brighter, farmhouse aesthetic. Many longtime customers say they miss the old, eclectic charm.
One fan wrote that they loved the “country look” and begged the chain not to “paint everything gray.” Despite the criticism, Cracker Barrel insists its values remain the same.
“We believe in the goodness of country hospitality,” said Sarah Moore, CMO of Cracker Barrel. “With ‘All the More,’ we’re honoring our legacy while bringing fresh energy, thoughtful craftsmanship and heartfelt hospitality to our guests this fall.”
Free Food Giveaway and Fall Menu Launch

To celebrate the new look, Cracker Barrel is offering a complimentary Classic Side with any purchase on August 23 and 24 nationwide.
The chain has also rolled out its fall menu, which includes:
- Breakfast Favorites: Uncle Herschel’s Favorite, Sausage & Egg Hashbrown Casserole, Bacon & Egg Hashbrown Casserole, and Butter Pecan French Toast Bake.
- Lunch & Dinner: Herb Roasted Chicken, Hashbrown Casserole Shepherd’s Pie, and Slow-Braised Pot Roast.
- Desserts & Drinks: Butter Pecan Sticky Buns, Cinnamon Roll Skillet, Brown Sugar Latte, and Wild Berry Tea.

A Balancing Act Between Tradition and Change
Cracker Barrel’s rebrand comes at a time when many legacy dining chains are updating their images to stay relevant with younger audiences. The challenge for Cracker Barrel will be striking a balance between modern appeal and nostalgic comfort—two qualities that have defined its identity for over five decades.
