If You’re Skipping Bars

Bryant Park

  • Location: 42nd St between 5th and 6th Ave (Midtown)

A quick walk from MSG, this green space offers open seating, nearby food stands, and a pause from the city pace. Ideal if you’re bringing your own snacks or just need a breather before the main event.

Fort Greene Park

  • Location: Just east of Barclays Center

A quieter alternative to Prospect Park. Good for catching your breath, people-watching, or taking a short walk while you wait for the doors to open.

Tips for a Smooth Pre-Show Experience

  • Eat or drink early: most spots fill up between 5 and 6:30 PM
  • Stay light: big meals and standing-room concerts rarely mix
  • Bring cards: many venues and nearby restaurants are cashless
  • Leave extra time: subway delays tend to show up at the worst moment
