Get ready to groove, New York! SummerStage is back for its 39th season, turning parks across the city into vibrant music hubs from June 4 to October 9, 2025. 

Whether you’re into jazz, hip-hop, salsa, or indie rock, there’s something for everyone. Here’s your go-to guide to the season’s highlights and ticket info.

Opening Night

Opening Night kicks off on June 4 with Marcus Miller, Tank and the Bangas & The Soul Rebels!

Marcus Miller is a Jazz bass legend and Miles Davis collaborator. Tank and the Bangas are a GRAMMY-winning New Orleans funk-soul collective. The Soul Rebels are a brass-fueled party starters from New Orleans.

This free show is part of the Subaru Music Series and promises an unforgettable night under the stars.

  • June 16 – The Metropolitan Opera Summer Recital featuring Janai Brugger, Jack Swanson, and Benjamin Taylor with pianist Howard Watkins.
  • June 18 – Juneteenth celebration with Noname, Ravyn Lenar, and Fana Hues.
  • July 5 & 6 – Kes brings the Caribbean vibes to Central Park.
  • July 9 & 12 – Latin Alternative Music Conference with Morat and Camilo.
  • August 1 – Hip-Hop Appreciation Park Jam and Barbecue curated by Doug E. Fresh and Funk Flex at Crotona Park.
  • August 17 – Blacktronica Festival featuring Moor Mother, Vijay Iyer, and King Britt. (Time Out Worldwide)

While Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield is the flagship venue, performances are held throughout the city at:

  • Marcus Garvey Park (Harlem)
  • Tompkins Square Park (East Village)
  • Herbert Von King Park (Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn)
  • Coney Island Amphitheater (Brooklyn)
  • Flushing Meadows-Corona Park (Queens)
  • Crotona Park (Bronx)
  • Stapleton Waterfront Park (Staten Island)

Tickets & Admission

  • Free Shows: Most performances are free and open to the public. No tickets or RSVP are required; just show up and enjoy.
  • Benefit Concerts: Some special events require tickets, typically ranging from $50 to $125. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or the SummerStage website.
