Elizabeth Taylor Chocolate Martini Debuts at Tryst Puerto Vallarta
Tryst Hospitality has unveiled a new signature cocktail—the Elizabeth Taylor Chocolate Martini—now available at select venues, including Tryst Puerto Vallarta. This indulgent drink, created in partnership with The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF), offers both a delicious treat and a charitable cause.

A nod to Hollywood history
Inspired by a cocktail Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson created while filming Giant in 1955, the Elizabeth Taylor Chocolate Martini carries a legacy from Hollywood’s golden era. The cocktail features Tito’s Vodka, Kahlua, and chocolate syrup, shaken over ice and served up in a chilled glass.
Taylor, known for her star power and passion for social causes, famously used her platform to bring attention to AIDS at a time when few others would. The martini not only celebrates her contributions to Hollywood but also honors her legacy in the fight against AIDS.
Giving back with every sip
The special cocktail is more than just a toast to Taylor’s memory. For every drink sold, $1 will be donated directly to ETAF, supporting their mission of achieving an AIDS-free world. The collaboration continues Tryst Hospitality’s long-standing partnership with The Abbey Food & Bar in West Hollywood, where Taylor often visited, and includes an ongoing commitment to raise awareness for HIV and AIDS-related causes.
Participating locations and commitment to charity

The Elizabeth Taylor Chocolate Martini is available at the following venues:
- The Abbey and The Chapel at The Abbey (West Hollywood)
- Tryst Puerto Vallarta
- The Tryst Fire Island (opening next year)
- The Tryst San Juan (currently under renovation)
- Circo San Juan (opening Fall 2025)
- The Blue Whale and Pavilion (Fire Island Pines)
Each venue will guarantee a minimum annual donation to ETAF, regardless of cocktail sales, with additional matching support from spirit brands when possible.
Honoring a champion
“This cocktail is more than just a toast; it’s a tribute,” says Tristan Schukraft, Founder of Tryst Hospitality. “Elizabeth Taylor was a champion of our community, and in death, she continues to be. This is our way of honoring her legacy and continuing the fight against HIV in America.”
Cathy Brown, Executive Director of ETAF, also expressed her gratitude: “Elizabeth believed in using every platform to raise awareness and funds for the fight against HIV. This initiative brings her spirit into spaces where community thrives.”
The Elizabeth Taylor Chocolate Martini is available now, so don’t miss your chance to indulge in a treat that gives back.
