Severance, The Penguin, and The Studio Dominate 2025 Emmy Nominations
The 77th Primetime Emmy nominations are out. Severance leads with 27 nods, followed by The Penguin (24), and The White Lotus and The Studio with 23 each. The awards will be handed out on September 14 2025 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with comedian Nate Bargatze hosting.
Nominees were announced July 15 at the Television Academy’s Wolf Theatre by Harvey Guillén and Brenda Song.
One of the season’s major stories was Owen Cooper, just 15 years old, receiving a nomination for Adolescence. This makes him the youngest supporting actor ever nominated in the limited series category. Harrison Ford, meanwhile, landed his first-ever Emmy nomination at age 83 for Shrinking.
“I’m just happy people saw the work,” Cooper said in a brief press call after the nominations.
