‘He is Now with the Lord’
Daughter-in-law Korie Robertson wrote in a family post: “We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord. Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life saved by grace, his bold faith, and by his desire to tell everyone who would listen the Good News of Jesus.”
His son Jase shared: “My dad has gone to be with the Lord today! He will be missed, but we know he is in good hands … We will see him again!”
His granddaughter Sadie Huff recalled: “One of the last things he said to me was ‘full strength ahead!’ Amen!”
In addition to his television work, Phil Robertson played college football at Louisiana Tech. He turned down an opportunity to play professionally to focus on hunting and family life. He later became a prominent voice in conservative and Christian media.
Phil is survived by his wife, Kay, and four sons—Alan, Jase, Willie, and Jep—as well as many grandchildren.
