NYAFF isn’t just about watching films—it’s about diving into dialogue with directors and actors via free informal conversations, panel talks, and Q&As (like “Keep it Short!” for short films). It’s where film nerds meet activists, storytellers, and each other to chat over new favourites.

If Parasite opened one door, NYAFF is the whole building—where the next wave of Asian cinema is waiting to be discovered.

Pro Tips Before You Go

  1. Tickets sell fast—especially for opening and closing nights. Watch for the lineup drop (usually early July).
Plan your venue schedule—with four spots in play, know where titles are showing before they sell out.
Look for free panels or Q&As—they’re open to pass‑holders and can lead to unexpected movie finds.

Whether you’re a die‑hard cinephile hunting for underground finds or just film‑curious, NYAFF 2025 is a sizzling, bold jam‑packed festival that’ll leave you talking long after the credits roll. Mark your summer—your screen time just got a whole lot cooler.
