New York City’s beloved West Side Fest is back for round three! Happening July 11–13, 2025, this free, three-day creative explosion stretches across Manhattan’s West Side — from the High Line and Chelsea to the Meatpacking District — with over 20 cultural gems involved.

When & Where

  • Dates: Friday, July 11 to Sunday, July 13, 2025
  • Hours: Mostly daytime events. For example, Dia Chelsea runs 12–6 pm daily; many museums stay open late Friday nights.
  • Locations: Spanning Chelsea, Hudson River Park, the High Line, Little Island, the Meatpacking District, and more — dozens of venues in a half-mile cultural corridor.

What You’ll Experience

Art & Workshops: Head to Poster House for free curator-led tours and poster-making. Dia Chelsea is showing its Steve McQueen film series and hosting talks from 12–6 pm daily.

  • The Whitney Museum offers free Friday night admission (5–10 pm) with live music by Public Records. Free Second Sunday at the Whitney includes family art-making, library storytimes, and more.
  • The High Line has a family craft-filled “Hidden Worlds” workshop on July 12. A Sunday wellness break with tai chi, Afro-Brazilian dance, and Fit & Lit classes on July 13.
  • Jazz by the river at Gansevoort Peninsula, zine-making at Print Center New York, DJ sets at The Shed, and Pilobolus dance shows at Joyce Theater.
  • Hill Art Foundation hosts a Friday backgammon tournament and all-ages programs throughout the weekend.
