Zum Schneider Oktoberfest 2025 Is Back by the East River
Zum Schneider’s iconic Oktoberfest is returning for 2025, and this time, it’s got a brand-new view. From September 26 to October 5, the Munich-style celebration takes over Franklin Point in Greenpoint, Brooklyn—right by the East River.
After years of serving steins and sausages on Avenue C, Zum Schneider is bringing its full Bavarian tent experience to the waterfront. Expect plenty of cold Festbier, hot pork shanks, and the legendary JaJaJa’s band keeping energy high every night.

You’ll find:
- Full tent seating with table service

Raise a Stein to These Brews
This year’s Festbier lineup features four legendary Bavarian breweries:
- Weihenstephaner: The oldest brewery in the world (since 1040). Try their Festbier and Hefeweizen—both on tap.
- Andechs: A monastery brewery brought to NYC by Zum Schneider in 2010. Limited supply this year.
- HB Traunstein: A rare NYC find, available almost exclusively at this festival. Their Festbier and non-alcoholic Weissbier will be on tap.
- Paulaner: A Munich Oktoberfest staple, pouring their classic Festbier brewed since 1818.
Eat Like You’re in Bavaria
No Oktoberfest is complete without hearty fare. This year’s menu includes:
- Crispy pork shank (Hax’n)
- Roast chicken (Hendl)
- Obatzda cheese spread
- Giant imported pretzels
- Steckerlfisch (charcoal-grilled fish)
Everything is served alongside German mustards, fresh-baked rolls, and beer poured by the liter.

Fantastic Day at Zum Schneider’s on Sunday 12-8pm
Great Food &Beer and the atmosphere was electric!
Wow, were we in Germany? And we had the best waitress! Maryanne! Phenomenal!!!,
and what a dancer too!!! I wish i could have stayed and danced the night away but of course
it had to end. What a beautiful venue to have the Oktoberfest. I also got to meet
Sylvester and talk with him awhile. Good Luck to him in his future endeavor.
I look forward to any other parties at Zum Schneiders.
Sincerely, Bill Schillinger from FDNY Steuben Association
